Lawsuits spell death of common sense
"Civil rights" seems to be at the forefront of the news. Every day we hear about "racial profiling" violating someone's "civil rights." A Catholic school's decision that a 15-year-old boy's foot-long ponytail violates its dress policy violates his "civil rights," and causes enough noise to be covered by the newspapers. Two boys not being allowed to dance together at their senior prom violates their "civil rights." Not letting a female student play on the boys' soccer team violates her "civil rights." Ad infinitum.
Petty political correctness has taken over from common sense, but when it comes to serious issues, silence prevails. Every time I see decent, hardworking, taxpaying people standing outside a building in the rain or snow smoking cigarettes, I wonder about their "civil rights." When a law is passed requiring us to wear a seat belt, even though it protects no one but the person wearing it (which should be his decision), where are that person's "civil rights"? Where is the outrage? When an official, with a stroke of the pen, can take away honest citizens' right to bear arms, where are the reporters?
Common sense should tell us that lawsuits filed against fast-food corporations because people are overweight should be laughed out of court.
I remember a conversation I had with the owner of a ski resort in Saas Fee, Switzerland. I asked her if she wasn't afraid someone might fall on the icy sloping sidewalk in front of the hotel and sue her. She answered, "Why would anyone sue me? God put the ice there, not me!" I didn't have an answer for her. She made too much "common sense"!

What in the world is happening with our kids today?
Let's see...I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare complained that she didn't want any prayer in our schools, and
we said OK.
Then someone said you had better not read the Bible in school-the Bible that says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal,
and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said, OK.
Remember Dr. Benjamin Spock, who said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little
personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem? And we said, OK, we won't spank them.
Then someone said that teachers and principals better not discipline our children when they misbehave. And our
administrators said whoa, no one in this school better touch a student when they misbehave because we don't
want any bad publicity, and we surely don't want to be sued.
Then someone said, let's let our daughters have abortions if they want, and we won't even have to tell their parents.
And we said, OK that's a grand idea.
Then someone else said, let's give our sons all the condoms they want, so they can have all the "fun" they desire,
and we won't have to tell their parents. And we said, OK that's another great idea.
And then some of our top officials said that it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs.
And we said, OK as long as I have a job and the economy is good, it doesn't matter to me what anyone does in
private.
We have a president that demonstrates it is "OK" to Lie, Cheat, Steal, and Murder.
The parents have been nullified of parental authority. If you discipline your children, you might go to jail,
and if you have children that break the law you are still responsible and can still go to jail for "No Control".
Why be a parent at all?
So now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why
they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill.
Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with
"we reap what we sow".
The problem is not children are born bad, It is the intrusion of the Government into the family with their
rules and laws. Maybe it is time that the government should be spanked.
In the 60's we took away the baby dolls and gave our daughters Barbie Dolls. They could learn to be sexy instead
of motherly. These children now have children in school.
Go right ahead and say it in plain language that Clinton is a horrible role model !!!!!!!!!!!
A man who was never in the military or fought for the freedom of this country can become our
President and Commander in Chief.
A Presidnet can lie and get away with it, so can we, just say you misunderstood later if you get caught.
We gave this generation enough gorey movies and video games to make the "Clockwork Orange's" brainwashing scene
look like a walk in the park. We trained our kids to kill in the privacy of their own rooms without any real world, healthy,
sporting experience and parental guidance. It is easier to ignore them than to teach them. Team and competitive sports
gave way to bloodlust and gore as favorite past times.
Three words, "Latch Key Kids." (Not the ones out of necessity that still have good role models, the ones of convenience.)

Basic Training:
On Your Knees, Hands Flat Together Thumbs Near Your Nose, At Bedtime facing the bed, say:
Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
God bless Mommy.
God bless Daddy.
God bless Sister.
God bless Grandma.
God bless Grandpa.
When you have asked God to bless every One you love, you may climb into bed and go to sleep.
I can recall that my Mom gave this Basic Training to me when I was about 2 years old. I also recall the instructions
had to be given to me more than once. And, that I asked Mom questions so I could know what I was doing. It seems,
though I don't explicitly recall it, that Dad affirmed the instructions. The first several times Mom spoke the words with me.
I wonder if any kids get this kind of Basic Training these days.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of reading Defending America (Hack's newsletter). The unlawfulness of the air attacks and the
Apache helicopters were covered. The Purple Hearts awarded to the three soldiers was questioned by multiple authors.
What led me to today's Basic Training was that those heroes that questioned (or chastised) the Purple Hearts being awarded,
did not seem to do much questioning of why the three soldiers were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Just as a soldier obeys
orders, he also accepts awards as they are given. The fact that those three were viewed more worthy of an Article 15 (of the
Uniform Code of Military Justice - a punishment) was expressed. But the MadBomber and Thief that ordered them unlawfully to
the wrong place was not correspondingly chastised and seen as worthy of much more severe punishment.
It seems like nearly all Thinking today is convoluted, inside out, upside down, or just plain stupid. So, I followed my proven
course of solving complex problems: Start with the most basic elements. And the Basic Training I gave above is the most basic
element.
It is more than saying Your Prayers at bedtime. TV used to sign off at night with the National Anthem. And sign on in the
morning with a prayer (often at least). Before street lights became the super bright lights of today, you could actually see the
multitude of stars in the moonless clear night sky. Most parking lots were not lighted at all back in the 1950s.
It is said there are no atheists in fox holes. I suspect there is a fair amount of praying in them. Perhaps there is some thanks
also given - like for surviving. I wonder if there is opportunity for praise in them. I mean like looking at the stars and saying to
God what a grand creator he is and how smart he must be. Or, is there usually too much to deal with in mortal combat for such
things.
Another school shooting. More government death training is coming I presume. Did you notice that my Basic Training had
death training in it? Do you suppose the high school killers in Colorado said their prayers their last night of living? Did you know
Jesus said that you must learn about God while you are a child?
At the end of each one of these Blessings of Liberty we have a little short vain repetition: God Bless America. Vain repetition
has the purpose of teaching how to pray. With Spring I have heard folks on radio mention how nice or beautiful a day it is. But,
I do not recall recently hearing any praise given to God for the nice days. Not even the church programs do it or anything like it,
very often. Does the FCC forbid saying 'nice day God!', or more likely I suspect management forbids it to avoid angering
advertisers. But even if allowed how often would a broadcaster dare to say 'nice day God!' or even think of saying it?
You want to fix America? Start showing others what is important. Teach (even by vain repetition) children (and maybe parents)
how to pray, how to thank, how to praise. Perhaps you have Talent on loan from God, don't forget to say Thank You and pay
up with some praise. But, keep your teaching separate from your praying in your closet. You can find the rest of the instructions
in the New Testament.
By this point agnostics and atheists might be getting upset. Here is some free advice: It doesn't cost anything to act like
God exists. So if you aren't sure or just suspect it might be wise in case God does exist, doesn't it seem smart to take out
some free insurance?
And there is that nagging question of did the high school killers say their prayers their last night alive. Even if there were no
God (I know there is because I've met Him), it seems it might be a good plan to encourage potential young killers to think there
is a God. And have them saying prayers instead of planning massacres.

Who Are The Kids Mad At?
Anyone else noticed that the kids aren't shooting or shooting "at" the teachers / administrators?
They're shooting their "friends" --- anyone else think that's a tad strange? I'm not saying they should be shooting
the teachers / administrators, but wouldn't it make more sense if they were? At least you could say they were rebelling
against authority.

To Prevent A Life Of Crime, Buy Your Kid A Gun.
"This focus on "the availability of guns" -- ignoring the fact they were far more accessible only 40 years ago, when you could
order a 20-mm Lahti anti-tank gun through the mail from an ad in the back of a comic book -- is intended not only to advance
the prior agenda of those who want a disarmed and enslaved citizenry, but also to distract us from asking what it is about
the mandatory behavior modification labs (public schools) which creates such rage and frustration in our incarcerated
adolescent males. We don't see these shoot-em-ups in the private schools, or among home-schoolers.
It also diverts attention from the perfectly relevant question of how many of these shooters had been on drugs known to
affect the judgment, like Ritalin and Luvox, prescribed and administered by their government wardens."

PRAYER IN SCHOOL
WRITTEN BY A 12 YEAR-OLD-GIRL in Boston
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule.
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites
It violates the Bill of Rights.
Anytime my head I bow
Becomes a federal matter now.
The law is specific; the law is precise.
Praying out loud is no longer nice.
Praying aloud in a public hall
Upsets those who believe in nothing at all.
In silence alone we can meditate
and if God should get the credit-great!
They are bringing their guns,
I don't dare bring my Bible,
To do so might make me liable.
So, now Oh Lord, this plea I make;
Should I be shot in school,
My soul please take.
